March 6th – Anderson Architecture Center Presents: Animal Architects Families can visit Hinsdale’s Immanuel Hall to create and learn about animal habitats. From 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, the Anderson Architecture Center encourages children and their parents to drop in anytime to participate in a variety of activities. One area will offer materials for children to become architect engineers by having them build a child-sized burrow; another will have children designing a home for an imaginary creature; another will allow children will create animals or their homes with Keva blocks. "Animals build homes, just as people do, for shelter and protection," says Pam White, the Anderson Architecture Center's Children's Program Coordinator. "Just think about spider webs, beaver dams and ant hills...some pretty amazing engineering! This program encourages children think about basic architecture and helps them design and create their own animal habitat." The program is geared for children 4-12, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Saturday, March 6th 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Immanuel Hall, 302 South Grant Street, Hinsdale Drop in anytime Free for Members $5 per child - Non Members Contact the Roger and Ruth Anderson Architecture Center with any questions, 630-654-9500 or info@hinsdalearchitecture.org
